BitSummit is back for its fourth year. It will be held at the Miyako Messe convention center in Kyoto, Japan on July 9-10. Developer submissions are open on the web site from now until April 1.
Last year there were almost 200 submissions for 80 slots. The number of spaces available this year has not been announced, but since the venue and scope seem to be the same, it’s probably safe to assume that the number of exhibitors will be about as many as last year. Cost to exhibitors is as yet unannounced. Last year’s exhibitor fees were covered by sponsors, but at this time it doesn’t seem that will be the case.
Since the words “fourth” and “force” are homonyms when transliterated into Japanese, this year’s mascot will be a team of characters collectively called B-Force.
